The plaques are chronologically assembled as they are located along the trail.

This walking track is dedicated to all those who served in the Owen Stanley Ranges Campaign Papua, New Guinea from 23rd July to 13th November 1942 under the most appalling conditions and over the toughest terrain in the world battling mud, mountains and malaria. Australians fought directly in the defence of their homeland.
