We got plenty of opportunity to finetune our
shooting skills. Most of the time was spent on the Ekwata firing range,
but sometimes we took our rifles and went for a quick one-day session at
the firing range about one and a half hours’ drive away from
Libreville. In Gabon was the first time that I got the chance to shoot
off (a lot!) of rounds from the 12.7mm PGM rifle, though the distances
at which we shot at – a maximum of 700m – was nowhere near the full
capability of the PGM. |

Another
"PGM in action" shot, this time from the Libreville firing
range. The large single-baffle muzzle brake is highly efficient,
reducing the recoil to an amount not much greater than that of any
7.62mm rifle. |
